Working With a Particularly Vulnerable Victim Within the Police of the Czech Republic

It is the job of the Police of the Czech Republic not only to apprehend the perpetrators of crime, but also to be able to take a professional approach to the victims, who are usually very hurt and traumatised by the situation. For this purpose, since 2004, the Czech Republic has been using special interrogation rooms and trained experts who approach all victims sensitively and professionally, so that secondary victimisation does not deepen their suffering and the psychological burden of the crime.
