German Prevention Congress (DPT)

The 31st German Prevention Congress will take place on 13 and 14 April 2026 in Hannover. The focus is on the topic of  ‘Artificial Intelligence in Prevention’. Besides this focus many other themes relevant to prevention will be adressed: Overview on prevention topics.

The 31st German Prevention Congress invites participants to take a comprehensive and forward-looking view at the topic of ‘Artificial Intelligence in Prevention’. The focus is on key questions:

• What challenges does AI pose in the context of crime and security, but also in terms of social interaction in the society?
• What profound changes are associated with its use – and who is affected by them and in what way?

At the same time, the focus is forward-looking:

• How can AI be used in a targeted and responsible manner for prevention work?

This is not only about technological potential, but also about the ethical and practical question of how AI can be used consciously and reflectively in prevention.
