Media narratives often suggest that young people are becoming involved in organised crime groups at increasingly younger ages and are committing more violent offences. However, available evidence points to a more nuanced picture, with differences across European countries, crime types and local contexts.

This webinar will explore what we actually know about young people’s involvement in organised crime groups, based on available statistics and research, and will question common assumptions shaping public and policy debates in order to support more informed prevention approaches.

The webinar takes place on Wednesday 22 April 2026 between 10:30 - 11:00 CET. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory. The webinar will be hosted via Teams. After registration, an automatic confirmation email will be sent to you from @ibzfgovbe.
