Launch of the EUCPN News Column
As the Chair of the Board of the EUCPN, during the Spanish Presidency of the European Union, I am very pleased to be able to launch this new facility - the EUCPN News Column.
This aligns well with my objective of building on the efforts of the Network last year to develop a more visible and strengthened presence for the EUCPN within the EU crime prevention arena. I hope to be able to read crime prevention news issues from a wide range of countries and strongly urge anyone who has some 'news' to impart, to submit it though your EUCPN National Representative - whose details can be found on the Contacts Page on this website.

This is linked very much to our working program - "For a Secure Home in a Safer Community through Prevention, Policing and Restorative Justice" - which is being developed in partnership with the two incoming Presidencies,
I see this as an excellent example of a coordinated and consistent approach in an area where there is a high degree of connection with and relevance to the Member States of the Network. But of course the widest possible engagement is needed to keep the Network alive and delivering effective support. We need a broad connection!
